1. Checking Device Connection
Before updating, verify that your device is connected to the internet. If not, connect it to a network.
In the app, check if Connection Status: Available and Internet Status: Online.
Ensure the Wi-Fi button on the device is solid green.
If Connection Status is Not Available:
Check the color of the Wi-Fi button on your device.
If you have entered the correct Wi-Fi details, press and hold the Wi-Fi button, then release it. Wait a while for the button to turn completely green.
If the Wi-Fi button does not turn green permanently, you may need to reinstall it. For re-installation, please re-install with the Adding and Setting Up Your Reveal Diamond Detector 2S in the MyReveal App document.
2. Starting the Update
If Connection Status: Available and Internet Status: Online, and the Wi-Fi button is solid green, you can proceed with the update.
Open the MyReveal App.
Tap the Devices tab at the bottom of the screen.
Select the device you want to update.
Scroll down to the Software section.
If a new update is available, tap Update Available.
3. Downloading and Installing the Update
Review the new update details.
If a new software version is available, tap Update Now.
The update will begin. Do not turn off the device or disconnect it during this process.
Once the update is complete, tap Restart.
The device will restart, and the new update will be installed.
4. Post-Update Verification
Return to the Home screen in the MyReveal App.
Wait a few minutes and check that Connection Status: Available and Internet Status: Online.
Confirm that the device is now running the latest software version.
